“Lambda Bydgoszcz” Association is a Polish non-governmental organization, which deals with counteracting discrimination against minority sexual orientation or gender identity.
We are the group of young people who decided to influence positively the mentality of the citizens of Bydgoszcz. It is the intolerance, discrimination, prejudice, speech of hatred, which annoys us. We want to counteract them. We established the non-governmental organization to have the chance to do it more efficiently.
Our biggest fear is the fear of distaste for bi- and homosexual people, to whom – in particular – we offer our help. The help concerns legal, psychological and health problems. Among our “experts” there are law, psychology and bio-technology students with the certificate of National AIDS Centre.
We inspire and get involved in social and cultural actions, which are aiming for raising the consciousness of the citizens of Bydgoszcz and for the fight with stereotypes and discrimination. Lambda distributes “Replika” (the only printed LGBT magazine in Poland) in Bydgoszcz.
